American Renolit Corp. held a symposium recently, where attendees experienced a day of educational and hands-on sessions covering the facets of profile lamination. The event was sponsored by Wrap-Tak of Newark, Ohio, the U.S. distributor for WPR wrapping machinery and TAKA brand adhesive technologies. It was hosted by Blue Inc., a contract-laminator, at its facility in Conover, North Carolina.

Representatives from WPR demonstrated the details of modern profile wrapping equipment, including the process and overall advantages, while officials from TAKA covered types of materials. Representatives also discussed how to properly perform in-process quality control of the lamination process.

Officials for American Renolit say they presented a full range of films for multiple applications, including different substrates, and a variety of end-use products.

The event included hands-on equipment demos on the production floor, allowing hosts and all presenters to share real-world applications of the information and techniques covered at the event.

According to Renolit officials, feedback from the event was positive, warranting similar events in the future.
