Weber has experience in global sales, marketing, business development and manufacturing. As an active member of the AEC, he previously led volunteer efforts in market development, marketing and industry promotion. Additionally, Weber has been an active participant in supporting the industry efforts in trade and government relations, AEC officials said.

“Jason’s broad business management and government relations experience make him well suited to take on this new role within AEC,” said Jeff Henderson, AEC president. “With the Council’s growing role in trade efforts to save the North American Aluminum Extrusion Industry from unfair and illegal imports, additional staff support is needed. I have known Jason through my past career in the aluminum extrusion industry and know his talents and abilities will complement our current proficient staff.”

Weber will lead the Council’s efforts in government affairs and public policy issues, as well as support other AEC programs, including marketing and future staff liaison to the ET Seminar Committee, which organizes and produces the International Aluminum Extrusion Technology Seminar & Exposition, the aluminum industry’s premier technical conference, held once every four years.

“I am beyond excited to join the staff of the AEC. I am looking forward to working on behalf of the aluminum extrusion industry to preserve, protect and improve this industry for future generations to come,” Weber said.
