Drexel has announced that it has plans to merge with McMahon and Company, a Wisconsin-based supplier of doors and millwork, by the end of the year. The company expects the transaction to be complete by December 31, 2022.

The family owned business McMahon and Company was established in 1996 and employs approximately 50 people in Jackson, Wis., to distribute “millwork with a personal touch.”

Drexel announced on social media that plans to integrate the McMahon business into Eastern, Central, and North Central Wisconsin focus on efficiency and quality.

“Patrick McMahon, Sean McMahon, Kim Mather, and their entire team, will remain a key part of the business as they grow and innovate to be the leader in doors, moulding, and finish materials,” the statement reads. All McMahon team members will be offered careers at Drexel Building Supply.

“We are thrilled to welcome the McMahon family and team to the Drexel team. McMahon shares our mission to supply happiness that addresses the builders’ needs for adding value to the door and millwork section of the industry,” reads the company statement.

Drexel added that future plans include growing into a new facility that it says will double capacity and employ 100 full-time team members. That facility is poised to open in 2024, and will be known as Drexel Doors & Millwork. Plans for the location are still in development.

“Acquiring McMahon means we are doing everything we can to work with the best to get better. Innovation is vital in everything we do, but even more so now as we grow. Our builders need more: more communication, more time, and more supplies. With the growth, we can drive the price down, quality control, and implement direct route deliveries,” reads the statement, adding that “As of today, nothing changes. As of the future, everything changes.”
