Save It for Next Time

Officials for Fux say when developing the new 83-SLM-327 automatic profile wrapping line, their focus was on reducing setup times. In the process, they established a system for documenting all of the machine’s process parameters, which are then saved for future reference and quality documentation. According to the company, reduced setup times for changing profile shapes increases the productivity of its line. To achieve this, engineers automatized adjustments for drive and guidance wheels, the slot nozzle and laminate positioning, allowing the wrapping line to
automatically adjust production parameters.

A new Opti Prime system is equipped with fluid control measurements to ensure that primer quantity is dialed in as precisely as possible and automatic tension control of the laminate ensures that the tension of laminates is always adjusted to set values, even when the roll diameter decreases amid production, preventing elongation. Once a profile shape has been established, all positions and parameters can be set for future production at the push of a button.
