Deceuninck officials announced in December that, after “intensive” consideration, the company will not take part in Fensterbau Frontale 2022 in Nuremberg, Germany. A company press release cites the uncertainties associated with COVID-19 do not offer an adequate planning basis for the 2022 spring trade season and that the company wishes to avoid health risks for its staff, its international and national customers and visitors to the trade fair.

The company press release notes that Fensterbau Frontale 2022 would have given Deceuninck the opportunity to present itself at a trade fair as a pan-European group under the banner “One Europe” for the first time, with a booth covering an area of more than 700 m2. As such, company officials say, this makes it all the more difficult for the company, after careful internal considerations as well as discussions with customers and non-European subsidiaries of Deceuninck, to forego the trade fair appearance.

Against the background of the continued spread of COVID-19 and the associated planning uncertainty, it can be assumed that there will be a reduced number of visitors to the trade fair, especially with regards to international travel. In the current circumstances it is clear that Fensterbau will not be the international fair Deceuninck aimed for to bring together its professional contacts. Consequently, the company is putting the health of its staff and visitors first and will not attend the trade fair in spring 2022.

Stijn Vermeulen, CEO Europe of Deceuninck: “We are currently working on alternatives to still present our fully developed Elegant platform with the new Grando design and our innovations to our customers and other interested parties.”
