Robert Renner, chairman and founder of Functional Fenestration Inc (FFI) has announced that Kathleen Howlett, who previously served as vice president of the company, has been named president. Howlett has been with FFI more than 21 years and has served in various leadership roles.

“As an industry professional with decades of experience in domestic and European hardware, Ms. Howlett is well prepared for her new role,” said Renner.

Jim Roberts, FFI’s retiring president, now becomes vice chairman of the FFI board of directors and continues as president of sister company Automated Fenestration Inc (AFI).

“I am excited to pass the torch to Kathleen, and I look forward to working with her in an advisory role,” Roberts says. “My focus now will be on the continued growth and development of Automated Fenestration, North America’s leader in window actuator and control systems for natural ventilation and smoke evacuation of windows and skylights.”

Functional Fenestration Inc., headquartered in Hawthorne, Calif., provides architectural hardware, including stainless steel lift slide hardware, handles, and track systems, as well as distribution of door and window hardware from top global manufacturers.
