The Remodeling Market Index survey asks remodeling professionals to rate various aspects of the remodeling market as higher or lower than three months prior. Each question is measured on a scale of 0 to 100, with any measure over 50 indicating that more remodelers view market conditions as higher than the previous quarter. Results are seasonally adjusted.


Getting Green

1/3 or more of single-family builders and multifamily builders/remodelers report doing 50% or more of their projects as “green”

Among those:

• 68% say it’s simply the “right thing to do”
• 47% say they’re doing it to create healthier homes
• 42% say it’s about reputation

Use of Windows Exceeding Code-Mandated Performance

• All Builders/Remodelers: 62%
• Among those doing 50% or more green projects: 75%
