“We are on track to almost double the volume of windows we bought last year,” says Jay Cipriani, founder of South Jersey-based remodeler Cipriani Remodeling Solutions.

The company’s specialty happens to be kitchen and bathroom additions, and in many cases this includes the addition of new doors and windows.

“Our leads almost doubled this year over last year,” he adds. “The inquiries are getting a little quieter, but that happens every summer during vacations. The demand is definitely still there.”

This South Jersey home was one of Cipriani Remodeling Solutions’ window projects.

Cipriani says he didn’t have to add any door or window suppliers due to the demand surge. He has three quality companies he works with, and says due to the nature of his business, he is able to order products in advance and get them on time.

That doesn’t mean that it isn’t taking longer to get doors and windows—it is—but the company now accounts for the delay in its ordering process.

“No one was running out it was just taking longer,” says Cipriani. “One component that added to the delivery time was the screens. With one of our suppliers, we can get the windows in four weeks, but it takes an additional four for the screens.”

Cipriani employs 31 in-house remodeling and design experts, including nine project managers, many of whom were added in the past year and a half.

“We have a policy here that we are always recruiting,” says Cipriani. “We are constantly looking for folks so when we need to pull the trigger, we can. We don’t wait until the last minute to hire.”
