William Harve (Bill) Hill, Jr., a long-time Pella Windows and Doors employee passed away June 21, 2020. He was 77 years old.

Hill was born in Beatrice, Neb., on March 29, 1943. He attended a number of grade schools and graduated from McPherson High School in 1961. He then attended Kansas State University, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History.

After graduating, Hill worked for Moorman Mfg. Company. He worked for Pella Windows & Doors in Dodge City for over 20 years before retiring in 2004, according to the Leavenworth Times. Hill and his wife Kathryn (Kathy) were excited to move back to their hometown of McPherson, where he contributed to the school system for several years as a paraprofessional educator at the high school, according to the Leavenworth Times.

His parents Dorothy and William Harve Hill Sr. preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Kathy Hill, his sons Jeff (Nanette), and Andy (Megan), along with his siblings, Sara Bremyer (Jay), Bob Hill, David Hill (Lisa), and his brother-in-law John Holecek. He is also survived by grandchildren: Caitlin Butto (David), Madeline Hill, Benjamin Hill, Alison Hill, Jake Hill, Noah Hill, Luke Hill; his great granddaughter, Natalia Butto; and nephews Seth Bremyer and Aaron Bremyer (Dionne).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Industry members who would like to make a contribution in his memory may contribute to the McPherson County Humane Society.
