Officials for Beekman Investment Partners IV, LP (Beekman) announced today that an affiliate has completed the acquisition of GED Integrated Solutions Inc. (GED).

A provider of intelligent automation systems for the U.S. fenestration industry, Ohio-based GED was founded in 1977, offering equipment, software, parts and service to window manufacturers. Beekman partnered with GED management for the transaction and Jeff Reed, Beekman’s industry advisor for industrial service investments.

“We are thrilled to partner with Beekman and look forward to building on our culture of engineering excellence to continue providing equipment, software, and support that automates critical processes for our customers,” said GED CEO Bill Weaver.

“GED has a long track record of providing differentiated, highly engineered automation solutions in the window industry, and compelling ROI to its customers through labor efficiency initiatives,” said Jim Clippard, Beekman principal. “Their high market share speaks volumes about the effectiveness of their automation products, responsive service, and customer support. This is a great platform to build upon, and we are excited to support the GED team in the next phase of growth.”

GED marks the third platform investment for Beekman and the first in industrial services.
