The Novatech Group, a manufacturer of steel entry doors, door glass, patio doors and insulated glass, announced the purchase of glass products manufacturer Laurier. The transaction is a result of growth plans that will unite the strengths of both companies in the high-rise, commercial and glass markets, officials said.

“Laurier’s expertise, knowledge, ability and reputation are some of the elements that will complement our plants in Anjou, St-Agapit and St-Apollinaire, [Canada], and will distinguish ourselves in the glass industry,” says Novatech president and CEO Harold Savard.

Laurier will now be known as Laurier Architectural. Mélanie Mercier will lead this new Novatech subsidiary, which will continue to offer its current and future customers current services.

For 70 years, Laurier has offered insulating glass, heat soar, spandrel, digital print and lamination products, mainly for commercial, institutional, high-rise and manufacturing applications.
