Marvin announced last week that it has acquired the assets of Conn.-based distributor A.W. Hastings and is now the owner of its facilities in New England and Eastern New York.

“Joining these two centers of excellence provides further opportunity to deliver on our purpose: to imagine and create better ways of living,” says CEO Paul Marvin.

A.W. Hastings has served as Marvin’s exclusive representative in New England and Eastern New York for more than four decades. As such, the acquisition will help to streamline the services and support resources to Marvin customers in these market areas, officials suggest.

“For 173 years, A.W. Hastings’ success has been rooted in leveraging change that creates opportunity,” says A.W. Hasting’s past president Dusty Hoyt. “The unification of Hastings and Marvin creates the prospect for us to continue to flourish and face our changing industry as a key part of Marvin’s strategy.”
