The Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) released its 2019 U.S. Industry Market Study yesterday, including data regarding the industry’s performance, key trends and projected direction. According to WDMA officials, the report covers market trends among residential/light commercial windows, patio doors, residential entry doors and interior architectural doors, as well as product relationships. Regional data is provided, including historic data from 2016 to 2017, and forecasted data for 2019 through 2021.

Along with shipments and forecasting information, the study also presents topline national and divisional data, detailed product data for the housing stock, new projects and non-residential construction, officials say.

The report’s data stems from industry input for product shipments in 2018 and was prepared, researched and analyzed by The Farnsworth Group. In addition to analyzing member surveys, Farnsworth also conducted additional research by surveying professional contractors and primary channel retailers regarding the number of units shipped and installed.
