Four Seasons Building Products (FSBP) announced today the acquisition of Superior Mason Products (SMP), a manufacturer and distributor of patio and other related building products. This recent maneuver marks the company’s second acquisition this year, extending its market share leadership by nearly 50 percent, company officials report. The company acquired AlumaLine of Nevada in April of this year.

Owned by Latium USA, FSBP is a manufacturer of what the company labels “outdoor living improvement products,” including its own line of windows. The company will absorb SMP’s manufacturing facilities in Birmingham and branch locations in Raleigh, N.C., Kansas City, Mo., and Dallas.

“Becoming part of Four Seasons Building Products further cements us as the only national player while expanding our reach and offerings,” says Larry Berryhill of Birmingham, formerly with SMP and now vice president and general manager of FSBP-East, which will incorporate both SMP and FSBP businesses.

“We are excited to add Superior Mason Products to our Four Seasons Building Products family,” says Steve C. Stephens, president of FSBP and business development officer for Latium USA. “Together with our acquisition of AlumaLine earlier this year, this cements our position as the leading national manufacturer of outdoor patio cover products, with three dedicated factories and 22 service centers across North America.”

This acquisition marks another mile stone for Latium USA. The company acquired Metals USA in 2013, forming FSBP.

“We are committed to the outdoor products space and continue to grow both organically and through key, high-quality acquisitions,” says Shaun Kennedy, CEO Latium USA. “Our business has now tripled in the last two years. We will continue to look for a sensible combination of organic growth and acquisitions into the immediate future.”
