ASSA ABLOY is teaming up with the USO at security trade show ISC West in Las Vegas this week to provide deployment kits loaded with food, toiletries and other personal items for active-duty military personnel waiting on their personal gear to join them at their destination.

Both ASSA ABLOY and the USO are inviting all attendees of the show to stop by and help pack the 300 kits at the ASSA ABLOY booth (No. 8061).

The event continues the collaboration between ASSA ABLOY and the USO to get trade show attendees involved in supporting deployed service members.

ASSA ABLOY partner companies taking part in the event include AccessNSite, AMAG, Averics, BluB0X, Feenics, Galaxy, Genetec, Honeywell Prowatch, ICT, Identiv, Inaxsys, Lenel, Mercury, Monitor Dynamics, Open Options, ProdataKey, RBH, RS2, and Vanderbilt.

Jeff Huggins, director of government programs with ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions, says the event is an important component of the company’s commitment to support military communities across the country.

“Leaving for and returning from deployment is no simple undertaking,” Huggins said. “Not only do these types of events help support troops directly, but they also raise awareness of the complex and emotionally taxing effort these men and women have made for our country. We’re extremely grateful for their service, and we know that gratitude is common within the ISC West community, so we are excited to get as many people involved as possible.”
