The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) has hired Danielle Troiano as its senior director, education.

Troiano will design educational and training initiatives aimed at helping NFRC’s program participants derive maximum value from its ratings program. She will also help NFRC’s many other audiences — including the public — better understand how windows, doors and skylights contribute to healthier homes and buildings, green construction and sustainability.

“I’ve been a passionate environmentalist since high school, Troiano said. “I’m looking forward to implementing technology in ways that increase engagement among all NFRC’s stakeholders.”

Most recently, Troiano served as the workforce development training and education programs manager for PGT Industries, a U.S. manufacturer specializing in residential impact-resistant windows and doors. She also ran her own consulting firm, building and managing websites and social media accounts for a variety of clients.

Troiano brings to NFRC 17 years of experience developing educational programs and is particularly interested in employing technology to create flexible learning programs.

NFRC’s CEO, Deb Callahan, views Troiano’s vision as a strong fit for helping the organization improve its relevance.

“Danielle has exactly the right blend of skills to enhance the NFRC experience for our current stakeholders and to help us expand our reach,” Callahan said.
