The World Millwork Alliance’s 53rd Annual Convention & Trade Show, which will take place October 7-11, 2017, in Charlotte, N.C., will offer a complete slate of educational sessions, lots of networking opportunities and an exhibition hall full of the latest products in the moulding and millwork industry.

Millwork industry professionals will gather at the Charlotte Convention Center and at WMA’s host hotel, The Westin Charlotte Hotel. On-site registration will open on Saturday, October 7, and the event gets underway on Sunday, October 8 with a full day of educational sessions.

The first, “Millennials – Engage, Recruit, and Retain,” will be presented by Diane Thielfoldt of The Learning Cafe. That will be followed by “Taking the Economic Pulse” presented by David Katsnelson of ITR Economics.

Next, Jessica Ferris, WMA’s director of codes and standards, and Tracy Rogers, the vice president of sales and marketing for Keystone Certifications, present “The Power of Product Certification.”  That will be followed by the WMA Business Roundtable and the distributor business meeting. A reception caps off the day.

On Monday, October 9, events open with the new member and millennial benefit breakfast. It’s followed by the keynote address from Andy Papathanassiou, a NASCAR leader and motorsports industry innovator. The trade show floor will then open to attendees. The day ends with the president’s VIP reception.

On Tuesday, October 10, the industry women’s forum will be held. At the same time, WMA will convene its fourth annual speed networking event. The trade show floor will then open to attendees, including students and veterans from the surrounding area, as WMA hosts Millwork Career Day.
