LaCantina Doors has teamed up with DIY Network for the first-ever Ultimate Retreat Giveaway, which has been reimagined after ten years as DIY Network’s Blog Cabin.

DIY Network headed north to New England and the shores of Lake Champlain and reinvented a dated 1960s ranch-style home, filling it with vintage finds, high-end finishes, natural materials and LaCantina door systems that deliver a “rustic meets refined” ambience.

The two-bedroom, two-bath home sits on prime waterfront property with 250 feet of direct lake frontage. LaCantina folding, sliding and swing systems were used to connect the living room, kitchen, master bedroom and den to the upper and lower decks. The result is indoor-outdoor living that provides views of Lake Champlain and Vermont’s surroundings.

DIY Network invites viewers to watch the demolition and renovation process room by room as the home is transformed. Hosted by DIY Network star and licensed contractor Jason Cameron, all episodes will air on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET in August. LaCantina will be featured in the first episode, a family room and kitchen renovation, on August 7, as well as the master bedroom episode on August 14 and the one-hour whole-house transformation special on August 28.

“After ten years of incredible homes with DIY Network Blog Cabin, we wanted to give viewers a taste of some of the most spectacular vacation spots around the country,” said Ron Feinbaum, DIY Network’s general manager of home promotions. “The stunning natural beauty of Vermont combined with Burlington’s vibrant and eclectic atmosphere makes it the perfect location for the first-ever DIY Network Ultimate Retreat Giveaway.”

Beginning Monday, August 7, fans and viewers can visit to enter the sweepstakes each day through 5 p.m. ET Wednesday, September 27 for a chance to win the DIY Network Ultimate Retreat Giveaway 2017. The grand prize package includes the fully furnished and completely renovated residence plus $50,000 from national mortgage lender Quicken Loans.

  1. As the 2016 Blog Cabin Contractor, I saw the LaCantina Door for the first time in the sky cabin. What a fabulous door and solution for large openings with great views. The owner of LaCantina actually flew in to Tallahassee to install the door himself which was an absolutely perfect installation on the new building we had constructed. Because we were 18′ on pilings it was likely a more challenging installation than normal and now today more than a year afterwards the function and operation of the door is flawless. Best large opening exterior door solution we’ve seen.
