Sierra Pacific Windows has named Tom Takach as president. Takach will succeed Kendall Pierson, who is retiring after 33 years with Sierra Pacific Industries.

Takach, who previously served as vice president of operations, has 25 years of experience in the door and window business. He joined Sierra Pacific in 2014 and was instrumental in integrating the former Hurd brand windows operations into Sierra Pacific. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, with a BA in Business & Communications.

“I am proud to have been a part of the Sierra Pacific Windows team for the past three years,” Takach said. “Kendall Pierson has led the company to become the most successful and fastest growing window brand in the industry. I am looking forward to building upon this success, as we take this company to new heights.”

Pierson, who is retiring August 1, started his career with Sierra Pacific Industries’ Millwork Plant in Chico, Calif., after completing his bachelor’s degree in 1984. He assumed management responsibilities for Sierra Pacific Industries’ entire window and millwork manufacturing operations in 1998.

“Kendall has been a great contributor to the success of Sierra Pacific Industries, not only in the millwork and window division,” Sierra Pacific Industries President George Emmerson said. “Although he will be missed greatly, we take comfort in the strength of the business and the exceptional team he has prepared to carry on.”
