Masonite International Corp. has announced the winners of the company’s 2016 Environmental Excellence Awards. This year’s winners include manufacturing plants owned and operated by Masonite in Jefferson City, Tenn., Wahpeton, N.D., Haleyville, Ala., Stockton, Calif., Marshfield, Wisc., and Laurel, Miss.

“In 2016, we received 15 project nominations by 12 facilities in five different countries,” said Fred Lynch, president and CEO of Masonite. “For these achievements, we commend individuals and teams for their dedication to promoting environmental excellence and striving to make ours a greener, more efficient operation.”

The Masonite Environmental Excellence Awards were created in 2005 to recognize strategies implemented within the company that promote environmental stewardship. They are given each year to recipients who take innovative approaches to environmental compliance that result in cost savings, simplified compliance options, or improved processes and procedures.

Masonite says it also received noteworthy submissions from teams in Canada, Europe, and South America.
