Guardian Glass recently welcomed more than 200 guests to a community and customer celebration at its Rayong, Thailand, float glass plant.

Guardian Glass has had a presence in Thailand for more than 25 years and 20 years in Rayong. According to a release from the company, it recently made “significant investments to the Rayong plant to increase capacity, reduce the company’s environmental footprint and expand its product portfolio.”

Throughout the event, guests toured the facility to see the float glass process first-hand and were provided refreshments, dinner and a program that recognized the company’s top-ten customers in Thailand.

“This event is about celebrating the company’s more than two-and-a-half decades of success in Thailand and strengthening our relationships for years to come,” says Sanjiv Gupta, general manager of the Asia Pacific region at Guardian.

The plant started production as part of a joint venture in 1997. The investment was preceded by five years with the launch of its Nong Khae, Thailand, float plant in 1992. Both plants produce glass for the commercial, residential and transportation industries.
