Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA) will be a featured speaker during the Window and Door Manufacturers Association’s (WDMA) 2017 Spring Meeting and Legislative Conference, scheduled for March 27-29 in Washington, D.C.

Griffith was first elected to represent Virginia’s Ninth Congressional District in the House of Representatives in 2010, and he’s currently serving his fourth term. He is a member of the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over some of the most important issues facing the industry, including energy-efficiency legislation, green building, regulatory reform and the EPA Lead Rule.  The committee is also heavily involved in the effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

For the 115th Congress, Griffith is Vice Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. In addition, Morgan serves on its Subcommittee on Health and Subcommittee on Energy.

Prior to his election to the House of Representatives, Griffith served as Majority Leader in the Virginia House of Delegates, the first Republican in Virginia history to hold that position.
