AWP Windows and Doors LLC and TM Windows announced today that the two Florida-based manufacturing companies will merge and be known as Assura Windows & Doors LLC. Craig A. Speed, previously CEO of AWP, will be CEO of the new company. TM Window’s Jorge Santaella will serve as chief operating officer.

Speed added, “Assura will be strategically positioned to fund growth as it continues with other opportunities to increase value. The merger will accelerate progress across these priorities.”

The company says this merger will create a Florida market leader by combining key attributes of both companies. According to a release from Assura, this will include:

  • Deploying a broader set of resources and expertise to benefit clients;
  • Expanding Dealer Partnerships and Programsthat provide greater choice of products and options; and
  • Enhancing innovation and investmentopportunities for new product development, engineering and manufacturing technology enhancements.

“This merger of equals will create significant near-term value through substantial cost synergies and will allow us to be more successful in a shorter period of time. I couldn’t be more excited,” said Santaella.

Assura Windows & Doors, LLC will be headquartered in Pompano Beach, Fla.
