Adler Windows is ranked 21st on Crain’s 2016 Best Places To Work in New York City list.

Tagged by Crain’s as the company where “the family feeling isn’t a fluke,” Adler Windows is the only fenestration business to make the list, and it’s the highest-ranked construction company this year.

To identify the Best Places to Work in New York City, Crain’s partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm that dispatched surveys to more than 28,300 employees. To be eligible, businesses had to employ 25 or more workers within the five boroughs. Scores from employees, who answered a confidential 87-question poll, were combined with scores from an 86-question survey for employers that focused on everything from telecommuting policies to opportunities for advancement. Results from the employee surveys made up 75 percent of the scores, while responses from the employer questionnaire accounted for 25 percent.

Adler Windows won their spot due to their commitment to their workers’ health, happiness and success-and employees who love them for it. A familial atmosphere pervades this second generation family owned company, where workers are encouraged to meet with job candidates to ensure that potential hires fit in with the company’s culture. Throughout the year, employees enjoy happy hours, baseball and football games and an annual holiday party, enabling them to bond off the clock.

“Our company is built upon our phenomenal staff, we are a family owned business and we place high importance on our family like company culture,” said Ross Adler, president of Adler Windows. “To be honored for this and to be associated with so many amazing companies is a dream come true for Adler Windows. We are still pinching ourselves that the company my Dad started 30 years ago in his basement, has ranked as the 21st Best Place To Work in NYC. It is beyond an honor.”
