Smith Douglas Homes, a homebuilder in the Atlanta Area, Raleigh, N.C., and Birmingham, Ala., announced that Jeff Jackson has joined its board of directors. Jackson is the president and chief operation officer at PGT Industries, a manufacturer and supplier of residential impact-resistant windows and doors.

“Mr. Jackson brings a wealth of executive management experience from important industries which will add a valuable perspective to our board of directors,” said Charles Schetter, Smith Douglas Homes CEO. “We appreciate his willingness to serve as a director and look forward to benefitting from his judgment and counsel.”

Jackson joined PGT in November 2005 as vice president and chief financial officer. The following year, he helped lead the company’s IPO, and was later named executive vice president.

In 2014,  Jackson was named president and COO with responsibilities of overseeing the company’s strategic plan, as well as all aspects of operations. In 2016, Jackson was appointed director to the PGTI Board of Directors.
