Marvin Windows and Doors was named a winner in Twin Cities Business magazine’s annual Minnesota Family Business Awards. The company, which has been family owned and operated since its founding, received special distinction in the longevity category. It was founded by George Marvin as Marvin Lumber & Cedar Co. in Warroad, Minn., in 1912.

The Minnesota Family Business Awards, held at a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, celebrated the accomplishments of six notable family-owned and operated companies throughout Minnesota. In addition to being honored at the event, winners are featured in the November 2016 issue of Twin Cities Business. In the article, the Marvin family is acknowledged for having built “one of Minnesota’s most durable companies – still based in a small hometown.”

“It is an honor to be recognized with this award from Twin Cities Business,” said Marvin Windows and Doors Chairman and CEO John “Jake” Marvin. “The entire Marvin family is extremely proud of what we have accomplished together as a family and as an organization. We have continued to stay focused on the original values of the company – to serve our customers, our employees and our communities – and it continues to be a model for success.”
