Five firms with links to the fenestration industry are on the Forbes list of America’s largest private companies, released today.

This year, 223 companies made it onto the annual ranking. Combined, these companies have revenues of $1.62 trillion and employ over 4.5 million people, according to Forbes.

Here’s a look at the fenestration-related companies on the list:

No. 63: ABC Supply

ABC Supply is the nation’s largest wholesale distributor of windows, roofing, siding and gutter materials. Revenue in 2015 was $5.9 billion. It employs 8,000 people. Earlier this week, it agreed to purchase L&W Supply Corporation from USG Corp. for $670 million. (DWM blogger Mike Collins weighs in on the deal.)

No. 67: Guardian Industries

One of the world’s largest producers of flat glass had 2015 revenues of $5.6 billion. It employs 17,000 people around the world. In late July, its float glass plant in Venezuela was seized by that country’s socialist government.

No. 150: Infor

The maker of business-specific software produces products used in the door and window industry. Its revenue in 2015 was $3 billion and it employs 14,000 people.

No. 177: 84 Lumber

The supplier of building products, including custom millwork and custom doors, reported revenues of $2.5 billion in 2015. About 4,700 employees work for the company.

No. 184: Andersen Windows and Doors

The manufacturer of doors and windows had 2015 revenues of $2.4 billion. It employs 9,000 people.

  1. Awesome news! These companies keep so many people employed. My daughter in particular works for 84 Lumber/Savannah, GA as a kitchen and bath designer. She tells me it’s a great company to work for!
