Police say a former Associated Materials employee stole more than $200,000 from the company during his time there.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County, Wisc., Circuit Court, Jason Matthews, 35, committed 21 offenses—one of identity theft for financial gain and 20 for stealing more than $10,000 in a business setting.

Suspicion arose within Associated Materials when records showed a company named JMJ Exteriors, owned by Matthews, received a number of payments, “yet none of the employees had heard of JMJ Exteriors, LLC, which was highly unusual,” court documents read. From September 2011 to March 2014, a total of 103 checks were written to JMJ worth $232,583.55 altogether.

Matthews created JMJ as a vendor account under his position as Installed Sales Solutions Manager Alside Company and also by using sub-contractor insurance and OSHA paperwork belonging to someone else, court documents say.

If found guilty, the charges  could send him to jail for more than 200 years.
