Beginning in June, MI Windows and Doors (MIWD) will manufacture its 1650 double-hung window at the company’s facility in Flower Mound, Texas. The company says the move will enable it to offer MIWD’s most popular renovation and replacement product to more customers.

Previously produced only in MIWD’s Hegins, Pa., manufacturing facility, the 1650 is a vinyl replacement window that can obtain a standard U-value of 0.27 without the need for added enhancements, which meets Energy Star requirements for the northern zone. With a upgrade to HP Low-E, the 1650 can also meet Energy Star requirements for the southern region.
