Huge crowds greeted today’s opening of the Fensterbau Frontale show in Germany—and that definitely had the exhibitors fired up.

“It’s a good show,” said Hanspeter Kuster of Fentech. His company is hoping to break into the U.S. market soon.

“It’s very busy right now,” said Mitchell Heckbert of Urban Machinery. “We’ve had a good turnout.”

More than 100,000 door and window industry professionals are expected to attend this year’s show at the Exhibition Centre in Nuremberg, where they’ll see a vast array of fenestration products presented by more than 1,300 companies from around the world. Most of the booths are much more elaborate than those seen at North American trade shows, with dazzling electronic displays, a big selection of food and beverages, bands and DJs—and even dancers.

Many of the huge #fensterbau booths resemble restaurants with full food and beverage service.
