Pat Meyer, Pella’s CEO since 2009, is stepping down after a 25-year career with the company. Adam Farver, the chairman of the board, has been appointed interim president and CEO by Pella’s board of directors. The board will begin a search for a new CEO immediately.

Pella spokeswoman Heidi Farmer told the Des Moines Register that both the board and Meyer decided new leadership was in the best interest of the company. Meyer learned about the change on Monday, she said.

“Pella Corporation thanks Pat for his years of service to our company and our industry,” Farver said. “Pat’s leadership, fortitude, and integrity – particularly through times of unprecedented industry challenges – contributed greatly to our company, team members and community.”

“I have been fortunate to work closely for many years with a dedicated group of talented individuals focused on providing the best products and services for our customers,” Meyer said. “I’m grateful for the experience, proud of what we accomplished as a team, and I look forward to pursuing new opportunities.”

Adam Farver was appointed chairman of Pella Corporation’s Board of Directors earlier this year. He previously served as the board’s vice chairman beginning in 2012, and as associate director starting in 2010.
