As we all ramp up for the 2015 Win-door show, scheduled for November 3-5 in Toronto, I can’t help but reflect on the many changes that have occurred to the annual “Social Event” of the year. From the “Ideas Show” to “Win-door,” the name, companies and people may have come and gone, but the main focus of networking and the introduction of new products and ideas, along with educational sessions, continues to bring us back every year.

The ever-changing hectic lifestyle we all lead can make it difficult to find the time to attend the show. Trying to tidy things up at work before heading out to tackle the stress of making an appearance at Win-door can get the blood pressure rising, but once we are among familiar faces, being educated about new and exciting products, we are once again smiling amid the comfort of our second family.

Trying to find a happy medium to ensure the majority of attendees will enjoy their experience at the show is a daunting task, and all suggestions from last year’s event have been scrutinized, dissected and re-assembled. A new layout for 2015 should enable everyone to move around easily to get where they need to go, whether it is to a booth, educational area or somewhere to eat. Additionally, commuters will find the new hours a lot easier to attend and reduce the “stand time” on the last afternoon for exhibitors.

I know I am looking forward to seeing both familiar and new faces.  See you there!
