Window World, in partnership with Rob Holland Ultimate Airshows, has picked military veteran Art Lane for the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh (Wis.) Hero Art Lane Window World and Rob Holland Ultimate Airshows Hero Flight_EAA ...Flight.

The Oshkosh Hero Flight recipient is a member of the Window World Family. Lane served 16 years in the U.S. Air Force before joining Window World as owner of the Green Bay, Wis., store in 2001.

“I’m really excited to fly in a stunt plane,” said Lane in a statement. “After 16 years in the U.S. Air Force, this will be a first for me and who better to experience it with than Rob Holland.”

A tribute to our nation’s military, the Hero Flight Program is part of Window World’s sponsorship of Rob Holland Ultimate Airshows’ 2015 season. Prior to each of the airshows in which Holland will perform, one veteran is selected from a pool of nominations for a ride with the world champion aerobatic pilot.

In addition to the Hero Flight Program, Window WorldInc. also supports the Veterans Airlift Command (VAC), a non-profit organization that facilitates free air transportation to wounded warriors, veterans and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes. Window World and its stores nationwide have sponsored more than 80 missions.

“We are very grateful for the service military members, like Art, give to our country,” said Todd Woods, vice president of marketing and market development, in a statement. “It is a privilege to honor them through these partnerships.”
