During the meeting, which included a tour by Crystal CEO Thomas Chen and COO Steve Chen, Hochul was given an overview of the company’s national scope. According to Crystal, topics discussed included the economic challenges that New York City-based mid- and large-scale manufacturers face when competing nationally.

“We found her attention and thoughtful questions to our challenges quite positive,” says Steve Chen. “She invited us to continue discussions on this with her and others in the Cuomo administration in the coming weeks, which we certainly plan to do.”

Accompanying the lieutenant governor were Melinda Katz, Queens borough president; Michael Simanowitz, N.Y. State assemblyman; and Toby Stavisky, N.Y. State senator.
