TruForm Building Products’ operations have been primarily in the Ontario region, says Dale Rivers, marketing director.
With a recent acquisition, however, he hopes to change that.
The manufacturer and distributor of door and window products has acquired Screens R US’s Calgary division in an effort to take its customer base westward.
“We’re very active in Ontario … We’re going to Western Canada, whereas now we’re just in central,” Rivers says.
“This represents a strategic opportunity to maintain our growth strategy and position our company as a focused national supplier of screen and insulated glass products to the Canadian door and window industry,” a company release reads.
Rivers says that while Screens R US was mostly a distributor, it did fabricate screens as well.
“We’re going to combine stuff they’re doing with our own products,” he says.
A company release says the transition “should be relatively seamless,” with the sales representatives from TruForm remaining the same.
Screens R US’s Eastern and Quebec divisions were purchased recently by Quebec-based window manufacturer Valconcept.
