Chester, Pa.-based Power Home Remodeling Group kicked off its fourth annual company-wide “Power Month”  initiative today to support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for kids with cancer.

Throughout June, Power will host a series of events and fundraisers within each of the ten markets it offers home improvement services. To date, Power has raised more than $540,000 for the Foundation.

“After four years of partnership, we as a company continue to be inspired and motivated every day by ALSF and the incredible heroes and families it supports,” says Corey Schiller, co-CEO of Power.

The kick-off event, held at the company’s headquarters and re-created at each of the nine regional offices, featured an address by an ALSF Hero Family and Liz Scott, Alex’s mom and co-executive director of ALSF, to inspire and energize employees around the mission and formally begin the fundraising initiative.

This year, Power will host a variety of employee and consumer components such as employees manning the phones during a telethon, lemonade stands and bake sales held at Power locations, and a company-wide payroll deduction donation to the foundation.

“Power and its employees continue to amaze us year after year, as they continue to embrace our organization and mission with such enthusiasm and passion as if it were their own,” says Scott. “We’re truly honored and proud to have Power on our team as one of our corporate partners.”
