Fenestration Canada (FC) has announced Al Dueck, President of DUXTON Windows & Doors, has resigned as first vice president of the association. His resignation was made effective July 15, 2014.

For Dueck, the decision came down to family and business.

“The past two and a half years have been an excellent experience, working and getting acquainted with a group of very dedicated professionals within the industry. However, I have become aware that I need to find a better balance between immediate family and a young, growing business,” he says, though he does not have plans to sever the ties completely. “I intend to make ongoing efforts to continue to give back through continued involvement as the importance of the Fenestration Canada continues to grow.”

The executive committee of FC has appointed Greg Dickie of Atlantic Windows Ltd. to replace Dueck as first vice president. Dickie has been a board member for years and currently serves as chairman of the association’s Canadian Code Compliance Committee.

“We are very pleased to welcome Greg to the executive committee and look forward to his fresh approach and energetic contribution to the association” says Yvan Houle, who serves as the immediate past president and chairman of the nominating committee.
