Tom Wolf (D), a candidate for Pennsylvania governor, recently toured Chelsea Building Products’ headquarters in Oakmont, Pa. Chelsea officials on hand for the visit included Peter Dewil, CEO and president; Mark Ammer, director of operations and research and development; and Gary Hartman, director of marketing and new business development.

“We were very happy to be able to host Tom Wolf as his campaign came through our area,” says Hartman. “We always like the opportunity to show one of our customers our manufacturing facility. It is always good to expose our customer to our employees and vice versa.

“It is a bonus that our customer comes into our plant and happens to be running for office and can share with us his vision for governing the state of Pennsylvania, if elected,” he adds. “Our employees enjoyed his visit, had the opportunity to hear him speak, and asked him questions.”

The Wolf Organization and Chelsea Building Products have been successful business partners for more than two years, according to Hartman. The company supplies cellular PVC mouldings to the Wolf Organization and they, in turn, supply building materials to their distributor and lumberyard customers.

“As a successful company that makes products for the Wolf Organization, Chelsea Building Products knows how important manufacturing is to Pennsylvania’s economy,” writes Jeffrey Sheridan, Wolf’s press secretary, in a blog post about the visit.

Chelsea is an integrated manufacturer providing product design, material development, extrusion tooling technology and finished product to manufacturers and distributors throughout the North America.
