On Saturday, May 10, Simonton Windows will host the 13th annual door and window auction to benefit the American Cancer Society. During the past 12 years the yearly charity fundraiser has generated more than $405,000 for the Relay for Life® fundraising efforts in Ritchie and Pleasant counties in West Virginia.

Starting at 10 a.m. that day, homeowners, builders and remodelers can view the Simonton windows and patio doors at the Simonton manufacturing facility on Route 50 in Ellenboro. Hundreds of new doors and windows (including a selection of specialty garden windows), along with Therma-Tru doors will be available at the “cash-and-carry” auction that begins at 11 a.m. As a bonus, Cardinal Logistics has donated four tickets to a Bank of America 500 NASCAR Race in Charlotte, N.C., that also will be auctioned off for charity.

“This yearly event is a tremendous way for people to purchase top-quality, energy-efficient products at a fraction of their market price,” says Dave Meeks, co-organizer of the event and a dispatcher/scheduler at Simonton Windows. “These are brand new, high-quality products. We’ll have an assortment of new windows, patio doors and garden windows available at the auction along with a multitude of doors from Therma-Tru.

“We generated more than $41,000 for the American Cancer Society at our auction in 2013 and hope to do as well this year. Whether you need one replacement window for a home or a dozen, this is a great opportunity to purchase doors and windows while supporting the American Cancer Society,” he adds.
