In response to the increase in customer demand over the past several years, Vi-Lux Building Products Inc., based in Napanee, Ontario, increased its extrusion capacity to meet the growing demand and ensure production’s ability to support the new requirements. In the last several years, extrusion capacity has increased by 60 percent.

In March of 2014 the company added an additional 15 percent to its extrusion capacity with extra infrastructure capabilities to support another 15 percent more capacity for development later this year.

Arkadi Bykhovsky, president, told DWM magazine the growth is primarily with door and window manufacturing companies.

“The market is recovering especially well after such a severe winter and will improve substantially as the weather improves,” he said. “2014 will be a good year for the window and door industry and as part of the overall demand, PVC components continues to grow. As part of this growth Vi-Lux continues to expand production to meet the demand for door components.”

In addition to the increase, the company added 16 new profiles, as well as new entrance door frame profiles to its product range.
