Atrium Corp. announced that Jeff Vogt has been hired as its new vice president of materials and logistics management. In his new post, Vogt will be responsible for improving cash flow through optimization of the movement of material through the value chain and improved cost savings via a strategic sourcing and tactical buying approach. He will also be coordinating the company’s logistics and fleet activities.

After completing his service in the U.S. Army, Vogt held several increasingly responsible positions at General Electric, ultimately serving as vice president, North American Sourcing for one of its divisions. He also served as vice president of strategic sourcing for Brunswick and in an executive capacity with Tousa Homes.

Immediately prior to joining Atrium, Vogt was principal partner of an independent consulting firm.

“As a consultant to Atrium, Jeff has already demonstrated a deep understanding of contract management and supply chain functionality,” says Steve Monks, Atrium’s senior vice president of operations. “His experience, leadership style and drive for results will benefit Atrium and our customers through improved efficiency and cost control across our supply chain and logistics functions.”
