Royal Building Products announced that its new logo has been honored with a gold medal for Elements of Advertising in the Charlotte, N.C., chapter competition of the ADDY Awards. Royal had launched a new logo and brand positioning in 2011.

“The new logo and positioning of our brand was designed to retain the legacy of Royal’s original symbol – the crown – while shifting the emphasis from manufacturing to a focus on what our building products do and our partnership with local building professionals and homeowners to build neighborhoods of lasting value,” says Jennifer McGill, group marketing director. “We are thrilled that the work of our agency – LKM Ideas — has been recognized for this prestigious achievement, and we are excited to see how our new logo does in the upcoming district competition,” McGill said.

The Charlotte ADDY Awards is the first of a three-tier, nationwide American Advertising Federation (AAF) competition. Local gold winners are forwarded to the AAF District 3 (Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina) to compete. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier to compete at the national level.
