The Fenestration Manufacturers Association (FMA), along with the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA), has launched a seven-city tour throughout Florida to educate architects, builders, installers, dealers, distributors and building officials on best industry practices for the installation of windows and exterior doors located in extreme wind and rain conditions.

Bruce Peters, FMA installation instructor and marketing specialist for Nitto Denko America Inc. will serve as the instructor in the four-hour morning installation seminars. The afternoon will feature Jack Glenn, FHBA discussing significant changes in the 2010 Florida Building Code as well as offering the advanced mitigation retrofit course to contractors.

The seminars are offered free of charge and have been funded through a grant from the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Collectively, they offer seven hours of certified education units. Lunch will be provided through sponsorships.
