Two test labs have come together, as Architectural Testing Inc., based in York, Pa., and Hurricane Test Laboratory, based in Riviera Beach, Fla., have joined forces under the Architectural Testing name.

When making the announcement Architectural Testing says it is now comprised of approximately 300 professionals and more than 20 testing facilities and regional offices. Vinu Abraham joins the Architectural Testing team as vice president, Southeast Region. The company says he brings more than 20 years of global expertise and technical knowledge to Architectural Testing.

“We’re absolutely dedicated to providing customers with the world-class service they expect and deserve,” says Abraham. “Architectural Testing purchased HTL to combine complementary testing portfolios well-suited to compete in today’s growing building products testing market.”

Henry Taylor, president of Architectural Testing, adds that bringing the two independent testing firms together will better serve the global market.

“This reflects the strategy of both companies, which is to provide customers with high-quality, innovative and cost-effective testing services with unsurpassed customer service,” he says. “Architectural Testing and HTL have worked together on many occasions and feel this will be a seamless integration where all involved will work together to meet client needs to the fullest potential,” adds Richard Biscoe, vice president and chief financial officer.
