(CLICK HERE for initial coverage of this story). The workers went on strike on December 16after failing to reach an agreement on the contract, but Truseal told DWM magazine today that an agreement was reached at 1 p.m.

“We are happy to have this matter behind us and look forward to re-engaging the hourly team into the operation and getting the salaried teams back to contributing to the business in their normal jobs,” says Truseal president Gus Coppola.

During the strike, teams of Truseal salaried personnel performed shift work in Barbourville to effectively meet all customer orders since the start of the strike on December 15, 2009. Truseal adds that the company will be ramping operations up early next week and expects to return to normal operations with all shifts active on Wednesday, January 13, 2010.
