Ply Gem, a Cary, N.C.-based leading manufacturer of door and window products, recently donated windows to assist the Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers program (TROSA) with a rehabilitation home renovation. Located in the Historic Cleveland Holloway District in Durham, N.C., this 4,200-square-foot home will provide 17 individuals with improved housing accommodations, giving recovering residents greater independence and the confidence to transition into the community and become successful members of society.

“As a business in the Triangle area, we are always looking for ways to help our neighbors and contribute to the greater good of the community,” says Keith Pigues, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Ply Gem. “We believe that this new residence will greatly improve the lives of program participants and we are honored that TROSA approached us for a windows donation to help make this house a home.”

Ply Gem contributed 23 of its Ply Gem Windows Premium Replacement Series double- hung windows with HP2 glass. As a company committed to sustainability, all of the Ply Gem windows donated meet ENERGY STAR® guidelines and feature dual-pane low-E glass with argon gas fill to help reduce heating and cooling bills and improve overall comfort in the home.

As part of a construction job-training program, the rehabilitation site is being renovated with the help of TROSA participants who also are future residents of the home.
