A truck driver was critically injured on Friday while delivering a load of PVC window extrusions to an Amsco Windows plant in Salt Lake City.

“The accident occurred while the driver was preparing his load so we could start to unload it,” Bart Naylor, president of Amsco Windows, told DWM magazine today.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. No updates on his condition have been provided, Naylor says. The driver was with an independent trucking company, Cedar Point Trucking in Rexburg, Idaho.

“Something like this, you can never be prepared for,” Naylor adds. “We’ve never had something like this happen on our property. It was difficult for our employees.”
