WDMA Announces Two Speakers for Executive ConferenceAugust 7th, 2014 by Casey Flores
The Window and Door Manufacturers Association announced that Cam Marston, president of Generational Insights, and Bill Killmer, senior vice president for legislative and political affairs at the Mortgage Bankers Association, will speak at its Annual Executive Management Conference held in Cambridge, Ma., Sept. 30 – Oct. 1.
Marston’s session, entitled Four Generations: One Workplace, focuses on the need for employers and managers to understand the attitudes and expectations of each of the four generations so they can best work with each other. The presentation will bring case studies to life and include recommendations for the best work practices in a cross-generational environment. All registered attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Cam Marston’s book titled, Generational Insights.
Kimmer will present The Outlook for Housing Finance Reform and Possible Impact on the Industry. Since the housing crash and the takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by the Federal Government, policymakers have struggled with developing a consensus on winding down these government sponsored enterprises (GSE) without impacting the housing recovery while maintaining a robust housing finance system. According to WDMA, with the new 114th Congress scheduled to convene in January 2015, GSE reform is likely to be near the top of the Congressional agenda. This session will explore the various approaches to reform currently under consideration, their possible impacts on the housing market and their likelihood of passage.
