Ply Gem® Windows welcomed Congressman Robert Hurt of Virginia’s 5th District to its manufacturing and lineal extrusion facilities in Virginia on April 29. Rep. Hurt toured two of the company’s operational sites for a look at the manufacturing process and energy efficiency enhancements Ply Gem has made recently.
The plant, which has been located in Rocky Mount, Va., for more than 70 years, is the largest Ply Gem Windows facility in the country, according to the company.
“Ply Gem has been investing in new energy-efficient vinyl replacement windows that incorporate the latest technologies in the industry,” says Chris Pickering, vice president, marketing, Ply Gem Windows. “With each new advancement, we strive to cost-effectively manufacture highly efficient products.”
“It was great to have the opportunity to visit and tour Ply Gem Windows and see first-hand their investments in energy-efficient technologies.
