The company celebrated its branding effort by gathering employees at each of the 20 offices and facilities worldwide. At the Cambridge facility, more than 300 employees and local community members and elected officials attended, including Tim Orr, the mayor of Cambridge, and representatives from local and federal elected offices.
“Quanex is committed to growth and the continued prosperity in the industries we serve and in the cities in which we live and operate,” said David Petratis, CEO, Quanex Building Products. “By serving our customers with integrity, we’ve invested in products and processes for the future that will help our customers succeed and continue to strengthen our presence in the Cambridge community.”
In addition to the rebranding initiative, Quanex named its Cambridge location to become its central hub for warm-edge spacer system production. The 417,000-square-foot facility has undergone a “radical renovation” and has added 150 additional employees to keep up with customer demand.
“I’d like to thank everyone who turned out to help us celebrate Quanex Building Products and its ongoing commitment to the Cambridge community,” said George Wilson, general manager, insulating glass. “This marks the beginning of a new and exciting era for the company and its local employees. Our facility transformation was no easy task; but, we were able to renovate the entire plant floor for optimal efficiency thanks to our dedicated employees.”
